Welcome to 1V!

Hello and welcome to our website!

We are the Stars of 1V! We have a great class of 22 children, 11 boys and 11 girls, who are all very unique and special in their own way.

Our classroom is bright and colourful and is a fun place to learn. Our teacher is Miss Varghese, but we call her ‘Miss V.’ She has been teaching at the school for three years. Our classroom motto is ‘In room 2, we are great learners,’ and right that is! We always try our very best and love to learn new things.

We work closely with the 1/2 grade, and play games as well as play sports together.

In term 1 we have been focusing on the ‘Five Senses,’ looking at how we use our senses to experience the world around us.

In term 2 we will be exploring ‘How does your garden grow?’ which will tie in with our sustainability focus at school.

In term 3 we will look at ‘fairytales’ and to end the year we are going to look at ‘Under the Sea.’

Below are some links to the other areas of our learning. Take the time to have a look at some of the different things we do. As you can see, we not only love to learn but love to be a part of Grade 1V!

The things we will be learning about this year are Literacy, Math, F.M.S, and Play Development.

This term we have been focusing on Number, and doing different activities to support our understanding
We often play interactive games on the computer related to our Math focus.
