Welcome to the grade 3/4 I Home page!

In room 9 we work together to ensure that everyone is happy. We listen carefully and are respectful to one another. We include other people so that no one is left out and ensure that we are supportive and caring to one another.

Our days are busy as we take part in lots of different learning activities. Each session begins with a whole class focus. Then we move into small group instruction or work individually to develop our skills.

When we work in a small group we learn to work cooperatively as we engage in a ‘hands on’ task sharing our understandings and responsibilities. When we work individually we learn to and articulate our thinking and make connections while taking responsibility for our own learning.

During ‘share time’ our teacher helps us understand and transfer what we are learning to real life situations. We are challenged to talk about and understand how we can use our knowledge and skills to prepare us for the world beyond the classroom.

We have a special class member whose name is Maya. She is our class pet- a much loved but sometimes mischievous dog.
