Welcome to the 4/5 M Home Page!
We are a fantastic grade of 26 students, made up of 15 boys and 11 girls. We all enjoy learning together and most importantly, encouraging each other to ‘have a go’. The motto we have chosen for this year is:
“We all have our days – but together we will have a great day”.

We believe that this truly encompasses who we are as a grade. Together we come to school to learn new things and develop ourselves both inside and out.
We do this by taking risks, trying new things, setting goals and trying our hardest at all times.
This year we have started exploring ‘Habits of Mind’. We are all very much enjoying the process of developing and understanding how each and everyone one of us think.

As a grade we enjoy learning experiences that involve hands on activities. One of the subjects we enjoy the most is Integrated Studies. This year we will be exploring Early Australian Settlement, Sustainability , Healthy Minds and Healthy Bodies and Disasters.
The other subject areas we enjoy include literacy, numeracy and physical education. We value the choices and opportunities we are given in the planning of our lessons. Together as a grade we have discussed our preferred learning styles and documented these onto wheels. We then use these as a guide for when we are selecting literacy activities.
