School Council
School Council is the governing body of the school, bringing together parents and staff to support the ongoing success of the school. It plays a vital role in setting the school’s direction and ensuring it remains responsive to the needs of the community.
School Council is responsible for:

setting the school’s vision and strategic direction
-
developing and approving the School Strategic Plan
-
overseeing and monitoring the school budget
-
contributing to, and endorsing key policies, including the Student Code of Conduct
-
reporting annually to the school community
-
promoting strong community engagement and interest in the school

The Principal serves as the Executive Officer of School Council, and a parent member is elected as President. Meetings are held eight times per year, typically on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm in the staff room. In addition, smaller working committees, made up of parents and staff, meet as required to support specific areas of focus.

Meetings
School Council meets twice per term. Members who are unable to attend are asked to notify the Executive Officer (Principal) prior to the meeting.
