Banyule Primary School

Banyule Primary School delivers a language program in Chinese (Mandarin)for all year levels across the school. The aim of this curriculum program is to help students gain an understanding of intercultural concepts and develop daily language skills for communication. Our program integrates Chinese cultural context into various themes to help students develop intercultural capability. We encourage students to respect diversity and difference, and be open to different experiences and perspectives.

 

Our program covers a wide range of content, which includes daily vocabulary, conversations, and cultural events. Students are encouraged to apply their Chinese language skills through song, role play and conversation. We also use digital technologies in the classroom to support students to become independent learners.
