S.T.E.A.M (P-2)
Science. Technology. Engineering. Art. Mathematics.

Our P–2 STEAM program provides students with engaging, hands-on learning experiences across the five core areas: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Throughout the year, students explore each of these areas through purposeful, inquiry-driven learning that sparks curiosity and creativity.

Students investigate scientific ideas, experiment with technology, design and build through engineering challenges, express themselves through visual art, and develop mathematical thinking in meaningful contexts. These experiences are carefully designed to be age-appropriate, interactive, and connected to real-world situations.

A strong focus of the STEAM program is teamwork and collaboration. Students work together to share ideas, solve problems, and support one another, while being encouraged to think creatively, ask questions, and take risks in their learning.

For students in Years 3–6, there is an opportunity to participate in a STEAM extension program. Students that are curious and enthusiastic in this area are provided opportunities to further develop their skills through targeted, hands-on projects and challenges.

We host an annual Science Fair, where students across the school showcase their scientific thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. This event celebrates student learning and provides an opportunity for our school community to engage with STEAM in action.

Our STEAM program nurtures curious, capable learners who are excited to explore, create, and discover. We also promote a growth mindset, helping students understand that making mistakes is a valuable part of learning. Through this process, they develop resilience, confidence, and strong critical thinking skills that support them across all areas of learning.
